BWP Rules of Conduct for all players:

The support staff works very hard to be sure that all players have a wonderful time while on BWP. These rules are for the protection of the players, the server and the fairness of the game for all. Any player found breaking the rules can at any time be refused their ability to play on BWP. The Shard Administrators will make the decisions based on the severity of the activity, and whether or not the account has previously been flagged. Anyone caught breaking the rules here will be punished, "I never read the rules" Is not an option, Ignorance is not an excuse.

1. Disrespect or abuse of Support team members: The support members work very hard and volunteer there time to make sure that the server is an enjoyable experience for all players. They do this for free, on their own time and ask nothing from players except their respect and patience. Any abuse, verbal or otherwise of support personnel will be dealt with harshly If you feel you are being mistreated by any of the staff please let us know by reporting to the shard lead administrator or any of the staff members. Please include the time, place, and description of the problem, and the staff member's name.

2. Housing and house placement rules: It is illegal to place any house in any town (within guard zone). You may place houses over small objects such as grass, rocks, etc. Do not place houses over large objects, on top of buildings, in farmland (furrows), or very near an entrance of any type which may hinder a player's ability to use the area (dungeons, caves, etc.) Do not place so close to another house or object that players cannot pass. If we feel the house is illegally placed or needs to be moved, we will post a sign in front or inside your house asking you to move it and a date. The date is when it needs to be moved by. If not, it will be deleted along with its contents. Items which are placed outside of the house will be deleted. Please make sure all items are placed within the house. If a forge or other unmovable item is mistakenly placed outside, please contact a GM. Items may be placed on steps... however players must be able to walk over them.

3. Harassment: Harassment of players will be taken very seriously by our staff. Please make sure that when you report harassment it fits the guidelines. False claims of harassment against a player can be punishable also. If you feel that a player is harassing you, please do not argue or fight back, simply ask them nicely to stop, and try to leave the area. If you do this, and the player will not stop, and continues to follow you around harassing you, please report it to one of our staff. Please remember that murderers, thieves, snooping, and other game play issues are not a form of harassment.

4. Hacking: Any attempt or threat to hack our server, or another players account will be dealt with very quickly and harshly. Players are reminded that hacking is a criminal offense and will be dealt with as such. If you feel that your account has been hacked, notify us immediately by email. Send it with the account name that you think is being hacked, and a new password for your account. Do not try logging into your account IF you think it has been hacked as we will trace the IP on the account. Once we have the information and have changed your password, you may then log your account back in.

5. Macroing: You are allowed to macro; however there are some restrictions on this activity. Do not macro inside any of the towns (guarded zones). Also there will be no trapping of NPCs in any way. AFK (Away from Keyboard) / Unattended Macroing is strictly forbidden. Use of Third party programs to assist in "AFK" Macroing is also strictly forbidden. Use of programs that have the possibility of Malicious intent are also forbidden. Below is a list of BWP approved 3rd party programs. UO Loop, EZ Macro, Razor. We may add or change the list without notice, Use of these programs while "AFK" is against the rules.

6. Use of bugs/Exploiting: The use of any bug or exploit within the game is illegal. Exploits and bugs are defined as anything a player does that is not a normal or intended part of playing the game. We take these very seriously, and will deal with them accordingly.

7. Rez-Killing: The repeated killing of any player as soon as they are resurrected can be considered rez-killing a player. Please do not report a player for rez killing if: you are re-equipping your armor/weapons, remounting, healing, casting, attacking, taunting/abusing/complaining, or returning to your corpse before they have time to loot you. After a few minutes to give them time to loot, you may return, pick up anything left, and leave in peace. Lingering in the area can signal a willingness and ability to fight, thus making you no-longer "newly rez'd"

8. Inappropriate Names and guild titles: Names and guild titles of characters and houses should be kept clean. If a Game Master receives a report of an Inappropriate named character or pet, we will change the name so that you know it was Inappropriate An account will only be given one warning on names. Guild masters are urged to be sure their guild titles, names and abbreviations are not racial or otherwise inappropriate. If players are found with illegal guild titles, that player will be dealt with promptly.

9. Misuse of NPCs: It is illegal to in any way misuse the Non-player characters and monsters within the game. This includes trapping NPCs in any way, or anything that allows you to kill them without any danger to yourself. If you have a question as to the legality of an action, please feel free to ask.

10. If you have never played Ultima Online read the rules contained on their web site, as most of the general rules found within Ultima Online will be enforced here. If you have questions concerning any of the rules listed on the Ultima Online site, please feel free to page a GM or the Shard Administrator.

11. You are allowed one account per person at your home. You may not under any situation have more than one account. Multiple characters from the same ip address will be jailed until they have passed a test and the characters flagged to be able to play with a duplicate IP. Exploitation of the privilege may result in the deletion of all accounts involved, as well as the blocking of your connection to the server.

12. Paging guidelines: If you are actually physically stuck we can help you, the stuck option in the help menu will also offer an ability to help yourself. Do not ask for skills or items, you are responsible for getting those things yourself. Your question/problem should be stated clearly, this means no "Please come here and help/talk". Items/Skills lost from a crash/etc will not be returned. Resurrecting and moving players are other things we will not do. Pages are not the proper area for complaints, whines, insults or profanity. We can and will delete useless pages :)
